Future Student

Dear Future English 110 Student,

Coming into this class I was really nervous. I hadn’t taken a English course in about 2 years, so my writing skills were not that great. During this course I realized that I was a decent writer, I just had to fix my procrastination problem. I learned a lot in this class though. I really enjoyed writing the blogs and commonplace paper. I think I enjoyed those because they were informal, that’s my favorite style of writing besides free writing.

Some advice that I think will be useful for your success in this class is do your assignments on time, if you can do them a few days before they are do that’s even better. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help or ask questions! It’s better to ask questions than it is to just sit there and be confused or assume something, always clarifying questions. One thing that worked for me was asking for help if I didn’t understand something the instructor was more than happy to help. If I could do anything different I would have turned my work in on time.
